This Refund Policy applies to all credit purchases made through SinCap — on the web at sinhalacaptions.com and in the SinCap mobile app (iOS and Android). Please read it before making a purchase.
1. 14-day money-back guarantee
You can request a full refund of any credit purchase made on the web within 14 days of the transaction date, for any reason. There are no exceptions and no conditions — you do not need to give a reason, and it does not matter whether you have already used some or all of the credits.
Web purchases are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for these transactions, and Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to your purchase in addition to this policy. Where this policy and Paddle's Buyer Terms differ, whichever gives you the stronger refund right applies.
This 14-day guarantee is a minimum, not a cap. Any statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation you have under your local consumer law is unaffected by this policy, and we will honour it in full.
2. How to request a refund
Email thilinap.me@gmail.com from the address on your SinCap account, or reply to the Paddle receipt you received by email. Include your account email and the Paddle order or transaction ID from the receipt if you have it.
- We acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days.
- Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method.
- Paddle typically returns funds within 3–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- You may also contact Paddle's buyer support directly using the link on your receipt.
3. What happens to your credits after a refund
When a purchase is refunded, the credits granted by that purchase are deducted from your account balance. If you had already spent some of them, this can leave your balance at zero or negative, in which case your next top-up covers the shortfall before adding new credits. We will never invoice you separately for credits used before a refund, and we will never withhold or reduce a refund because credits were used.
4. What credits are
SinCap uses a credit system for caption generation. Normal generation uses one credit per video minute, billed per second of video, while Fast Premium uses twice the Normal credits. Credits are purchased as one-time top-ups (there are no subscriptions). Unused credits remain in your account and do not expire.
5. Purchases made in the mobile app
In-app purchases are processed by the app store you bought them from, not by SinCap or Paddle. Those stores handle their own refunds, and we cannot issue a refund on their behalf:
- Android: Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing and are governed by Google's refund policy. To request a refund, visit Google Play support.
- iOS: Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store and are governed by Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, visit Apple support.
If a store declines your request, email us at thilinap.me@gmail.com and we will do what we can to help.
6. Billing errors
If you were charged but credits were not added to your account, or you were charged twice for the same purchase, contact us at thilinap.me@gmail.com at any time — the 14-day window does not apply to correcting a billing error. We will either add the missing credits or refund the charge, whichever you prefer.
7. Account deletion
If you delete your SinCap account, any remaining credit balance is forfeited. Deleting your account does not remove your right to request a refund for a purchase made in the previous 14 days — email us and we will process it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top indicates when the current version took effect. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
